The VAST system can be used in combination with other processes or as a stand-alone integrity screening tool whenever honesty and truthfulness are required.  Dr. Bourke uses the instrument to verify the accounts of sex offenders and/or to unearth undetected criminal activity.

An extensive validation study conducted by one of the world’s leading universities, Kings College in London, concluded that the VAST system was almost 90% accurate on truthful subjects, and had an overall confidence level of 85% on all subjects.
